Fixed Wireless Access - Isle of Wight Planned Maintetence 25/11/2020 00:01 to 06:00

Planned maintenence on the Isle of Wight fixed wireless access network is beginning. We'll update this status when works have been completed.

  • This evenings maintenance has been completed with success, all alarms on our proactive monitoring are clear and the network has returned to a normal operational state.

    If you are still experiencing a loss of service, please power down your equipment at the wall socket for a few moments before powering back on. Please do not be tempted to press any reset buttons (it will only make it worse).

    Telehouse North Datacentre Planned Maintenence 24/11/2020 00:01 to 06:00 - Started

    Planned network maintenance has started in our Telehouse North network core this evening. As such some services may go down for periods of time during this maintenance window.

    Fixed Wireless Access - Isle of Wight Power Failure

    There is a power outage at our mast in Carisbrooke, this is affecting service for customers in Newport, South Wight and West Wight. Engineers are en-route to put on a backup generator.

    SSE Reported the power outage started at 15:17 and as yet have no update on a time for the restoration of mains power.

    This is a new Go Internet mast site, we will be installing a battery backup system at this site within the next couple of weeks to prevent mains outages from interupting the service.

  • Service has been restored to this mast, we are now marking this incident as resolved.

  • We have confirmed that this is a 3rd party fibre fault and we are working with our suppliers to resolve this issue.

  • Power has been restored to our equipment; however, the service is still down.

    We believe there may be an issue with the fibre circuit feeding the mast, we’ll update when we know more.

    Ethernet Leased Line (EAD) - TalkTalk Interconnect drop - EAD/Ethernet Services

    Our proactive monitoring service detected a 2-minute downtime one of our Ethernet Interconnects in Telehouse North.

    We have requested an RFO from our supplier - and will feed back in due course.

    In the meantime, we will keep a close eye on the interconnect in question.

  • We have monitored this interconnect for the past 48 hours and it has remained stable - so we consider this incident to be resolved.

    We will publish an RFO in due course.

    Fixed Wireless Access - Isle of Wight IOW Fixed Wireless Access - Major Outage

    We are eperiencing a major outage on the East Wight Wireless network, our engineers are investigating the cause.

  • This incident is now resolved.

  • Engineers have confirmed an issue with mains supply trip switch.
